After months of research and consultation with public agencies and civic groups, our proposal for a fully enclosed dog park in Lawrenceville is complete!
The Lawrenceville dog park has been renamed the Bernard Dog Run in memory of Jay Bernard, a Lawrenceville resident, business owner, artist and abandonned dog advocate whose big heart and countless contributions to his community continue to inspire.
The proposed Bernard Dog Run is a linear 1-acre dog run located near the 40th Street Bridge, between the CSX rail line and the Allegheny River Trail. For a brief overview of features and amenities, please see the Bernard Dog Run tab. To read the complete proposal, please download the PDF below.

Given our compact urban conditions (i.e. small or no backyards), these hounds and their owners are in desperate need a safe place to run free. Everyone knows that an exercised dog is a good dog… Below is a small sample of Lawrenceville’s dog community! Continue reading How many dogs in Lawrenceville??!
